A Place to Call Home

Friday October 11th marked our first day in our very first apartment.

That Friday night marked the first night we stayed in our very own bed...we fell asleep in it at 9:45pm...
Because we're old. (or maybe because we had been moving for the past 2 days?)

That Saturday marked my first house wifey grocery shopping trip while Clay was at work.

Life as a married couple has officially begun. Bills to pay, groceries to buy, house to keep, meals to make, so on and so forth.

I cannot express how thankful, blessed, excited, and scared I am to be on this leg of our journey.

Last week we had our first "dinner party." Clay and I had my Mom, Dad, Grace, Leneigh, and Anthony over for dinner (with the help of my sweet sister, Leneigh!) before my other sister, Hannah's, first college chorus concert. It was so exciting and fun to have family over in our own home.

To have a couch for them to sit on, a table for them to eat at, and the utensils needed to make the food that fed them. What a blessing!

Clay and I have finally begun to understand and see what it means to be real, married, adults. It's crazy, and stressful, and awesome, and difficult, and fun, and and and....

As this insane journey continues I am constantly praying that God guides us and directs us and continues to bless us and those we come in contact with.

I have yet to meet neighbors, but I hope to be a blessing to them. Even if that just means bringing them cookies at Christmas time.

Below are some pictures of our new place. We are absolutely loving it!

A special "thank you" to all who have prayed for us as we looked for and eventually found this new home.

"By wisdom a house is built, and through
understanding it is established;
through knowledge its rooms are filled
with rare and beautiful treasures."
Proverbs 24:3-4
