Brave

It's that time of year again.

I am working on planning my second girls retreat at Michigan Christain Youth Camp the weekend of April 24-26 and it is already shaping up to be a great weekend!

This year's theme is "Brave" and I am so excited for what this weekend is going to hold.

Our theme verse is 1 Corinthians 16:13-14
"Be on your guard; Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous; be strong. Do everything in love"

Throughout the weekend we are going to be studying 5 brave women of the Bible as written about in Francine Rivers' "Lineage of Grace." These women are Tamar, Rahab, Ruth, Bathsheba, and Mary.
All five of these women have brave stories for us to learn from as we explore what it means to be women of courage.

Our theme song for the weekend is "Brave" by Moriah Peters I highly recommend you check out this song, as well as her album which is also entitled "Brave."

I am so excited to lead this weekend full of great activities, great speakers (including Katy Busam, Beth Bowers, and more), crafts, and more. Be sure to check out the MCYC website for more information on the weekend including a rough schedule, registration info, volunteer information, etc... Feel free to share about this event (there is a printable poster on the MCYC website) and encourage any 12-17 year old girls you know to attend. It's going to be an awesome, God filled weekend.

As we continue to plan for this weekend I ask for your prayers for all involved. The counselors, small group leaders, speakers, and campers. I hope and pray that it will be an encouraging and life changing weekend.
